Li Zhi, whose name used to be Li Junjie, was born in 1975 in a humble family in Fengqiu, Henan province. Since his childhood he has been learning both eastern traditional art and western traditional art from his teacher. Later he went on to study in Hangzhou and Beijing. Now a professional artist, he completes his art creation through painting and photography.

He received invitations for landscape photography creation; his works were published successively on Life Magazine, Chinese Photography, Popular Photograph, FOTOMEN, and FOTO VIDEO. The first volume of his artistic essay <Hauixiaju>, written during his art creation, was published on <Poetry and Thought>, the journal of China Contemporary Poetry Academy.
His series photography album themed around Chinese landscape, <On Hearing the Elegy of Mountains>, attended photoshanghai consecutively in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and received universal recognition from collectors. An eponymous album received awards in the US.
